GDPR & Data Protection Policy

Effective Date: November 2025

Company Name: Venso

Email: support@venso.uk

1. Introduction

This GDPR & Data Protection Policy outlines how Venso (“we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, stores, processes, and protects data from our customers and, where applicable, their app end-users. We are committed to protecting personal data and following applicable data protection laws, including GDPR when relevant to international users and partners.

2. Data Controller & Data Processor

Venso acts as the Data Controller for customer data provided directly to us (e.g., contact information, project details, billing information).

Venso acts as the Data Processor for data stored within mobile app backends, admin panels, APIs, and databases hosted on our servers or configured by us. All app user data remains fully owned by the customer (app owner).

3. What Data We Collect

  • Basic customer details such as name, email address, phone number (if provided), and business information.
  • App-related project details required for development and setup.
  • Technical information required for hosting or backend configuration (e.g., hosting credentials, Firebase configuration, API keys, admin access details).
  • No end-user (app user) data is collected or directly accessed by Venso unless necessary for debugging or setup, and only with the customer’s explicit permission.

4. Purpose of Data Processing

We process data for the following essential purposes:

  • To communicate with customers regarding their mobile app, backend, or support needs.
  • To perform backend hosting, API management, admin panel setup, and app configuration.
  • To deliver service updates, invoices, and important account notifications.
  • To meet legal, accounting, and compliance obligations.

5. App Hosting and Customer Data

  • When Venso hosts an app backend or admin panel, all data stored within the system remains the sole property of the customer (the app owner).
  • We do not sell, share, or transfer customer or app-user data to third parties.
  • We do not use app-user data for analytics, profiling, marketing, or any unrelated purpose.
  • Access to hosted data is only for technical support, debugging, or maintenance—never without customer consent.
  • Venso does not contact or communicate with customer app users.

6. Data Storage & Security

  • All hosted apps, admin panels, and databases are stored on secure cloud hosting with SSL encryption and industry-standard protection.
  • Only authorised Venso team members can access customer-related systems for technical tasks.
  • Strong authentication practices, encryption, secure backups, and firewall protections are applied.
  • Data is not transferred internationally unless necessary and protected with appropriate safeguards.

7. Third-Party Services

  • We may use trusted third-party platforms such as Firebase, Stripe, PayPal, hosting providers, or SMS/email gateways as part of app operations.
  • These services apply their own privacy, security, and GDPR-compliant policies.
  • Venso does not allow these providers to use customer data beyond service delivery.

8. Data Retention

  • Customer and project data is retained only as long as needed for app development or hosting.
  • If hosting is cancelled, all backend and app data may be deleted after a reasonable period unless required by law.
  • Customer support and billing records may be retained for accounting or compliance.

9. Customer Rights under GDPR

Where GDPR applies (e.g., EU/UK clients), customers have the right to:

  • Request access to personal data we hold.
  • Request corrections or updates.
  • Request deletion (“right to be forgotten”), where allowed by law.
  • Request restriction or objection to certain processing.
  • Request data export in a portable format.

Requests can be submitted to support@venso.uk. We aim to respond within 30 days.

10. Cookies & Website Data

Our website may use essential cookies or analytics cookies for performance improvements. Cookies do not store personal data unless voluntarily provided. Users may disable cookies through browser settings at any time.

11. Data Breach Policy

In the event of a data breach, Venso will promptly investigate, secure affected systems, and notify customers where required by applicable laws.
